Jeffrey “J.Ed” Edwards, is the Owner, Chief Marketing Officer of Late October Lifestyle. Born in Dallas, TX, J.Ed was wowing family members with his musical ear at the age of 8. He recalls a story where he remembers sitting with his dad listening to Curtis Mayfield and picking out instruments and song sections. His father was amazed by his skill and told his mother that he “had something”. J.Ed started rapping at age eight and when a good friend introduced him to Fruity Loops at age 13, he never looked back within the world of music creation. With his dad and cousins as local DJs their presence exposed him to different genres of music. He states that he is inspired by Timbaland and Missy, Kanye West, The Neptumes, Ryan Leslie, Erykah Badu, Tweet, and of course, Shaun Scott and RDE of Late October Lifestyle. As a bonifide lover of music and creativity, J.Ed expresses an openness in working with different producers as long as legendary music is the outcome and adds that he would love to just be in a production session with Timbaland, Missy, and Pharrell. Presently, J.Ed is working to further his knowledge and skill and is enrolled in Full Sail University’s Bachelor’s Degree program for Music Production.

J.Ed maintains that his colleagues are constantly pushing him to the next level and their friendship only enhances his craft. He adds that their way of producing music is like playing Chess in that they are constantly inspired make their next move their best move based on the moves of the other producers. He states that their system is like a failsafe in preventing creativity blocks as their collective has different sounds that fuse together regardless of genre and breathes life into their musical masterpieces. Outside of Late October he likes to hang out with his family and catch up on his arsenal of TV shows whenever he can. J.Ed described himself as diligent and consistent, even when he is inconsistent.
